CRG’s DIRT Bag® (Deployable Isolation Repair Technology) — the portable, single-use enclosure system for composite repair isolation. Listed in the Boeing 787 Structural Repair Manual and the F-35 General Use Consumables List. Sets up in minutes, keeps contaminants out, works with ECU and HEPA vacuum systems.
Coast-Line carries the CRG DIRT Bag® — a portable, maintainer-fabricated enclosure kit (MFEK) developed by Cornerstone Research Group for contamination and environmental control during composite repair operations. The DIRT Bag® provides an off-the-shelf solution to isolate the repair area during damage removal, layup, and curing. It keeps repair particulate out of the surrounding environment, keeps contaminants out of the repair, and pairs with ECU and HEPA vacuum systems for full temperature, humidity, and particulate control. Two stock sizes: DB-2424 (24″ × 24″ × 13″) for small area repairs and DB-6090 (60″ × 60″ × 90″) for large structures and flight-line use. Custom sizes available.

The compact DIRT Bag® — a portable, single-use enclosure kit for small composite repair areas. At just 24″ × 24″ × 13″ when erected, the DB-2424 is designed for localized repairs on aircraft skin, panels, and components where contamination control is required during damage removal, surface preparation, layup, and cure. The kit fits securely over the damaged area, adheres to the surface, and provides a structurally supported covering that can be custom-fitted to the technician's exact repair geometry. The frame is reconfigurable for specific work spaces. When folded and stored it is only one inch high — meaning it takes virtually no space in a tool kit or maintenance bag. Lightweight, quick to install, and FOD-free. Compatible with ECU connections for temperature and humidity control and with HEPA vacuum systems for particulate capture during grinding or sanding. A single-use item: relatively inexpensive for each job and recyclable after use.
The full-size DIRT Bag® — developed under an AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research contract and successfully flight-line tested by the U.S. Air Force. At 60″ × 60″ × 90″ tall, the DB-6090 is designed for larger structural repairs on aircraft fuselage, wing skins, control surfaces, and major composite assemblies where a full working enclosure is required around the repair area. The frame is customizable for unique work areas — it can be configured to match irregular surface geometry, contoured structures, and confined maintenance positions on the flight line. Like the DB-2424, the DB-6090 interfaces with ECU systems for full environmental control and with HEPA vacuum systems for particulate containment during damage removal. An isolation kit for each job — relatively inexpensive for a single repair use, and recyclable after the job is complete. The DB-6090 is used alongside the smaller DB-2424 for programs requiring both full-structure and localized repair isolation capability.
