Toolmaster® TMGP Carbon Tooling Prepreg
Carbon fiber epoxy tooling prepreg for hand laminated composite mold manufacture. Hot-melt system — no volatile solvents that could cause delamination. TMGP (carbon) and TMFP (fiberglass) versions share identical cure temperature and flow characteristics with Airpad® rubber, enabling co-cure of rubber pressure pads directly in the tool layup.

High-temperature epoxy tooling prepreg rated to 232°C (450°F) service temperature. Not based on BMI chemistry — avoids the handling and processing difficulties associated with BMI systems. Handling characteristics similar to standard Toolmaster® epoxy tooling prepregs, making it accessible for layup shops familiar with lower-temperature systems.

HexTool® M61 Machinable Tooling Compound
Hexcel's patented quasi-isotropic tooling prepreg — randomly layered strips of unidirectional AS4 carbon fiber prepreg consolidated into continuous rolled goods. Can be laid up by hand and CNC milled to close metal-like tolerances. Vacuum integrity maintained before and after machining, and after 500+ part cure cycles. Fabricated with HexPly® M61 BMI resin — ideal for 350°F (180°C) production tooling for carbon fiber aerospace structures. 20% the weight of Invar.

Epoxy-based quasi-isotropic machinable tooling compound for 250–300°F (120–150°C) part cure cycles. Uses HexPly® M81 toughened epoxy derived from Hexcel's 8552 resin. Dimensionally stable before and after machining. Suitable for development tools and lower-rate production at 350°F with careful thermal management. Lighter and more energy efficient than steel or aluminum tooling.

Toolfusion® 3A/3B High-Temperature Infusion Resin
Two-part, low-viscosity epoxy infusion resin for producing prepreg-quality composite molds using VARTM/resin infusion processes. Nano-technology delivers outstanding toughness and a glass transition temperature of 218°C (425°F) — comparable to autoclave prepreg tools — without requiring refrigeration, autoclave time, or debulk cycles. Low initial cure temperature of 49°C (120°F) reduces thermal expansion effects during cure and allows use of low-cost room-temperature master models. Void contents below 1% achievable.

Two-part, low-viscosity epoxy infusion resin for high-temperature mold production at a fraction of the cost of prepreg tooling. Produces autoclave-quality laminates using only standard vacuum bagging. Requires room-temperature master models — no heated patterns needed. Post-cure capable to 375°F (191°C).

Airfill-2 High-Temperature Filler Paste
Fast-setting, thixotropic polyester mastic for filling surface imperfections on composite tooling — models, master molds, gelcoat repairs, and tool surfaces after drilling or cutting operations. Black in color with high hiding power to make surface defects clearly visible before correction. Two-part system (100:1 or 100:2 by weight), pot life 5–15 minutes at 22°C. Withstands continuous service to 232°C (450°F). Available in 1 qt and 1 gallon kits.
